Skip Lane has been a Real Estate Broker in St. Helena for 21 years. He currently manages the newly opened Napa Valley office of Ritchie-Hallanan in St. Helena.

Earlier in his career, he was the founder and principal of both Morgan Lane Real Estate and St. Helena Real Estate. Former president of the Napa County Association of Realtors, Skip has always been actively involved in both realtor and community affairs. He has been on the Board of Trustees of the St. Helena Unified School District for the past four years, serving as Board President for the last two years.

Skip attended Amherst College in Massachusetts, receiving his B.A. in Economics. After attending Boalt Hall School of Law in Berkeley, he worked briefly for Milbank Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, a New York Wall Street law firm. Returning to California in the early 1970's, he undertook a decided career change, becoming a cooper for the burgeoning California wine business. He founded and served as President of Barrel Builders, Inc, a firm which imported, assembled, and sold European oak barrels to California wineries.

In his real estate career, Skip has sold and leased both residential and commercial properties. As a broker, he most enjoys working with his agents, where his legal background is valuable in negotiating purchase contracts.
